Rescript I is the inaugural DVD volume release for the Hellsing anime series produced by Gonzo. It was released by Pioneer LDC on January 25, 2002, for VHS and DVD formats and contains the first three episodes of the series.
Summary
Hellsing, the secret organization formed to exterminate the Anti-Christ freaks who threaten the British Empire. Held captive by the Hellsing family, Arucard is the Ultimate Undead who refers to himself as their "garbage disposal." This stylish horror action depicts a vicious vampire who uses a massive gun to pulverize freaks.

Trivia
- Hellsing author Kohta Hirano refused to do any artwork for the release and sold the free copy of the DVD he was given, due to his negative critical reception of the third episode (after having highly praised the first episode).[1]
