Welcome to the Hellsing Wiki, a collaborative encyclopedia dedicated to the Hellsing manga, anime, OVA, and several of Kohta Hirano's other manga made by fans and for the fans. We've had 505 articles and 43,786 edits since its creation on 27 July, 2008.

Synopsis

The Hellsing Agency, a secret branch of the British government, has long been battling supernatural threats to keep the people safe from creatures of the night. Its current leader, Integra Hellsing, controls her own personal army to eliminate the undead beings, but even her highly trained soldiers pale in comparison to her most trusted vampire exterminator, Alucard, who is actually a powerful vampire himself. Along with Integra's mysterious butler and Alucard's new vampire minion, Seras Victoria, the Hellsing Agency must face not only regular ghouls and vampires, but also a rivaling secret branch of the Vatican and a mysterious group of madmen spawned by a certain war over 55 years ago.

The original Hellsing manga by Kohta Hirano started in 1997 and finished in 2008, releasing 10 volumes in total. A Hellsing anime produced by Gonzo followed a different storyline, but with the same main characters. It aired on Fuji Television from October 10, 2001, to January 16, 2002, while the English dub ran in the United States from October 4, 2003, to December 27, 2003, on Starz!'s Encore Action cable channel. After the anime ended, an OVA was announced to re-adapt the series in its entirety while staying true to the source material; it started in 2006 and ended in 2012 while switching between multiple studios producing the OVA. In the United States, the first OVA was released in 2006, and the last was released in 2014.

AlucardM

Alucard is the trump card and pride of the Hellsing Agency, which works against vampires and other such supernatural forces running rampant beneath the public eye. It has been implied that he is the most powerful vampire alive as a result of a century's worth of experiments done to him by the Hellsing family to create what is essentially the "Ultimate Undead."
