Jonathan Harker (ジョナサン・ハーカー, Jonasan Hākā) is one of the main characters of Dracula by Bram Stoker.
Personality
In the novel, Harker is incredibly devoted to his wife, Mina Murray. He's incredibly hardworking, and his employer noted that. His devotion for his wife is the reason why Murray loves him, and Harker is hopeful about the future he'll have with his fiancée. In addition, Harker is respectful to his friends. So much so that in respect for Quincey Morris sacrificing himself in order to defeat Dracula, Harker named his son after him. However, despite this, Harker admitted that while facing the three female vampires, Harker said that he felt a "wicked burning desire" deep inside his heart.
History
- Main article: Dracula by Bram Stoker
Harker travels to Transylvania on a business to help Count Dracula, a mysterious client of his that wishes to move to London. Soon as he arrived at his castle, Harker was greeted by Dracula and finalized the property transaction. Before then, he soon realizes that he's been made a prisoner and comes across the three seductive minions of the vampire Dracula, the Brides of Dracula. Dracula then leaves for England, abandoning Harker, who's trapped within the castle with the three minions.
Fortunately, he managed to escape the castle and found himself in a convent as he suffered from a nervous breakdown. Soon after, his fiancée, Mina Murray, was notified about his appearance and soon arrives at the convent and nurses him back to health with the nun's help. Quickly, both of them marry on the spot, and he is told that Murray's best friend, Lucy Westenra, was murdered by the Count. Both then return home to England, and Harker immediately joins Professors Abraham Van Helsing, Quincey Morris, John Seward, and Arthur Holmwood in order to pursue the Count back to Transylvania.

Trivia
- Similar to the 1958 adaptation of the novel titled Horror of Dracula, his role as Mina Harker's fiancé (later wife) was replaced by Arthur Holmwood.[1]
- Due to the above and his absence from mention or flashbacks in Hellsing, Harker may be completely absent in its story
