BALLOON FIGHT is the seventh chapter of Hellsing: Volume 6, and the overall forty-fourth chapter of the Hellsing manga created by Kohta Hirano.
Summary
The sniped V1 missiles made Zorin Blitz suspect the perpetrator was Seras Victoria, forcing the searchlights to be turned on despite much objection from the crew to confirm her suspicions. A barrage of cannon bullets sent by Seras' Harkonnen II forced Zorin to undergo extreme measures, ordering a dive straight towards the Hellsing Headquarters, resulting in a crash. Pip Vernedead prepares his Wild Geese and Seras for the second stage as the vanguard of Last Battalion troops and Zorin assembles in the midst of the blaze.
Synopsis
Seras stands atop the Hellsing Headquarters confidently
24 V1 missiles, which acted as Zorin Blitz's herald for her invasion of the Hellsing Headquarters, was shot down simultaneously in an impossible feat. Zorin suspects Seras Victoria being the perpetrator, and forces the searchlights to be shined on the Hellsing Headquarters despite much objective from the crew who fears being shot down, with Zorin arguing that they can already see them. Reclutantly, the searchlights were turned on and the crew then finds Seras Victoria standing at the top of the Headquarters overlooking the fields, with the Harkonnen II.
Under the direction of Vernedead, Seras storms a hail of bullets towards the airship with her destructive Harkonnen II
With the flames of London behind the shadowy airship, Pip Vernedead asks Seras if she could see London, which he likens to "Hell." Vernedead remarks that he personally dislikes London, finding it to be too "old-fashioned" for his liking, but the thought of an innocent civilian that has nothing to do with their personal war being dragged in and killed for no reason made him furious. Vernedead invites Seras to avenge them. Agreeing, Seras promptly enters a state of anger and aims the Harkonnen II towards the airship, preparing for a cannon barrage as per Vernedead's orders. She fires a hail of bullets as soon as Vernedead's orders come in, with the airship taking in a multitude of damage.
The airship explodes
Inside the airship, chaos ensues with collateral damage in the heavy room that brings the flight capabilities of the airship down to 32%, causing the crew to beg for a withdrawal, an idea that Zorin shoots down. Zorin states that the airship's light armor might as well be paper in the face of the Harkonnen II, forcing a drastic and insane order to force a crash landing into Seras. In the face of an airship diving straight towards her, Seras stands confidently while Vernedead panics. Seras then unleashes Vladimir, an explosive incendiary grenade launcher, for firepower. She hurls a battle cry and proceeds to decimate the airship into the ground, causing an explosion after plummeting into the fields.
Zorin and her men awakens
The Wild Geese rejoices, forcing Seras and Vernedead to order them for preparation as the Last Battalion reveals themselves from the flames after surviving in a split-second decision to escape before impact, a move that is possible without suspension purely because of their state as a monster. Zorin exhales as her troops await direct orders to move.
