Summary
The invasion of the Deus Ex Machina was stopped by The Captain, who stood at the corridor's end in front of Integra Hellsing and Seras Victoria. The Major continues his glory speech regarding the need for the Last Battalion to die in a glorious way as the airship deteriorates, while Seras enters a staredown with The Captain, who allows Integra to move on ahead to the headquarters of the airship. The ferocious battle between Seras and The Captain ensues; outside of the airship, the River of Death begins to form anew after Alucard activates his restriction, signaling hemokinesis.
Synopsis
The Captain stands in the way of Integra and Seras
As the Deus Ex Machina progressively collapses, slowly being devastated and torn apart by the various explosions within the airship, prompting a burst of flames, The Major persists in his speech regarding the necessity for the Last Battalion to die in a manner that is "something more" than ordinary death, and unless that goal is reached, they will continue to march indefinitely for their sakes; he expresses the reasoning for their fifty-five-year-long march, which makes the Hellsing Agency, to him, a precious entity, making it worthwhile for them to die and for them to kill. In a silent, yet menacing manner, The Captain stares down Integra Hellsing and Seras Victoria.
After a lengthy staredown, The Captain and Seras engage in a chaotic exchange of bullets
Seras enters a staredown with The Captain, requesting for Integra to go on ahead while reassuring her and telling her to finish The Major—to not let a "man like him" say another single word. Lifting a cigar to her mouth, Integra tells Seras that she would not permit her dying under any circumstances. Suddenly, The Captain points her the way to reach The Major, much to their surprise. As Integra passes by, she surmises The Captain as a faithful dog and thanks The Captain for showing her the way, then heads towards the headquarters, thanking The Captain and leaving Seras to deal with him. In the crumbling corridor, the two stare each other down threateningly. She stomps on the two lying MG42s, dual-wielding them from the corpses of the Last Battalion troops. Subsequently, the two engage in a shootout as Seras inches closer, dashing forward and springing from the smoke cloud generated by an explosion resulting from their exchange of bullets.
The Captain shapeshifts
She tackles down The Captain, but is hindered by his coat. Shortly thereafter, The Captain is revealed to be standing beside her, having momentarily slipped out of his coat, and he aims his modified Mauser C96 down at her spine. The Captain relentlessly fires down on the preoccupied Seras, who struggles until she shapeshifts into a flurry of razor-edged shadows, forcing The Captain to retreat with a leap, evading her shadows. Seras escalates her assault on The Captain, who positions himself at the corridor's end and slowly unveils his true form as a Werewolf, prompting Seras to halt her advance in caution. Meanwhile, outside the airship, Alucard continues his boast over Walter C. Dornez's "lousy bet."
Alucard manically delights in the large reservoir of blood
Alucard asserts the results of his cards, which will burn away soon because his master will kill Walter, his people will kill Walter's people, and he will kill Walter. Alucard gleefully shames Walter's cruel fate but expresses his non-caring attitude over going along with the hand Walter bet his life on. He declares Walter a mere traitor, questioning Walter if he thought Alucard would fairly fight a traitor one-on-one in a mocking tone, disregarding his capabilities as Walter "will die easily enough." Alucard then gestures with his palm, activating his hemokinesis ability as he expresses his hunger. Slowly, all the blood from the deceased within London begins to pool together into a river of blood, making its way toward Alucard in a group of arrows, engulfing and feeding him. He gleefully laughs, sarcastically remarking, "I don't know if even I can eat all of this!!"
