Synopsis
Alucard, Seras, and Vernedead arrive at Hotel Rio in Rio de Janeiro, where they (Alucard and Seras) are staying. Checking in at the desk, Alucard, under the false name "J.H. Brenner," tells the clerk that they have a reservation, to which the clerk informs him that his suite is on the top floor. However, as Vernedead leads the men to bring out the coffins, the clerk tries to inform Alucard that such a thing is too huge for the size of the hotel, while Alucard informs Vernedead that the suite is on the top floor. Concurrently, Alucard says that there is no problem as the clerk desperately tries to tell Alucard otherwise.
Fixing his glasses, Alucard then points his finger close to the clerk's eyes to show that there is nothing wrong, using his hypnosis in order to make the clerk perceive that there, indeed, is nothing wrong. In succession, the clerk repeats that there is nothing wrong as Alucard manipulates him. Alucard then suggests to Vernedead to bring the coffin up and hurry, but Vernedead is dumbfounded by his actions, asking him if he uses some kind of a "sex beam," to which Alucard states that he did nothing. Alucard then worries about the slowness of the luggage, making Vernedead note his concerns about how easy the actions are. Realizing this, Alucard agrees. Vernedead then asks Alucard if there is something amiss; Alucard states otherwise, that there is no problem, expressing that it will be a fun holiday.
As they arrive at the suite, Vernedead screams in jealousy as he comments on how unfair it is that he is staying in a cheap hotel while Alucard (and, to an extent, Seras) gets to stay at a bourgeois one. Alucard sarcastically says that cheap hotels have their own advantages before noticing that Seras is eerily quiet, a view Vernedead agrees with as he remarks that she was freaking out during the transit but notes that she must have gotten tired or fallen asleep. Around the same time, Alucard proceeds to remove his glasses and pull the sheet from his coffin. Sitting on it, as Vernedead comments, he explains to Vernedead that it is his final dominion and that it is the place where he was born and will die. Subsequently, Vernedead says that suites and whatnot must seem pointless to them, and after which, he says that he will meet them tomorrow at nighttime. Alucard says that he cannot wait and expresses that this place will be fun.
Inside of the coffin, Seras is asleep, where she is met by the spirit of her gun, Harkonnen. At first it startles her, but she recovers when it asks her to not run away, as it merely wants to give her its support. As a token of its kindness towards her, it allows her to ask anything she wishes. She mentions that her life is "in the pits" and asks if the rest of her life is going to be as unhappy. Harkonnen states, "More or less," but when Seras begins to spiral into despair, it tells her to forget what it said and that it lied. It then explains that it is not the time to ask a question like that and that Alucard awaits her.
She opens her eyes to see the dark, shadowy figure of Alucard lingering over her, telling her to wake up, as there is something he wants her to see badly. She wakes up to see multiple helicopters circling their room. Confused, she is met with a response by Alucard, who tells her to come with him and that it is time for war. Outside, police officers, which include tactical GATE units and multiple news station representatives and reporters alike, gather outside. Julia Edward's NKT Brazil states that an armed man and woman massacred employees and guests, while they've also taken several hostages; meanwhile, the military police are preparing for confrontation. Vernedead watches and is shocked, spitting his beer at the TV when it is revealed that the terrorists they refer to as Alucard and Seras.
Elsewhere, in the Hellsing Headquarters, Walter C. Dornez works to communicate with the Round Table Council on the situation at hand, as Integra Hellsing glares through the window, frustrated. She praises the plan in that it is brilliantly conceived but declares that if they want a conflict so badly, then she will give them one, calling them "bloody warmongers." At the same time, the spearheaders of Millennium watch as the leader asks his assistant, referred to as "Dok," about someone, to which Dok says that he is a superb model and suspects that they will confirm their suspicions. He expresses great interest and questions whether or not Alucard, a man who is vile, being a Midian hunting other Midians, will kill other humans or whether he would not do so, or perhaps he is the one to get killed.
