FINAL FANTASY ① (erroneously misspelled as "FAINAL FANTASY") is the ninth chapter of Hellsing: Volume 5, and the overall thirty-sixth chapter of the Hellsing manga created by Kohta Hirano.
Summary
The three airships finally dash across the city of London as Millennium soldiers discuss their course of actions within "Operation Sea Lion 2," while Zorin Blitz is ordered by The Major to head over to the Hellsing Headquarters with the second zeppelin but is prevented from attacking and instead told to wait for the arrival of the rest of the Last Battalion. The Major tells his men that eight million civilians have been reduced to "dinner" for them, offering them to kill and be killed, prompting the launch of the signal fires of war as soon as The Major's dropped wine shatters.
Synopsis
The Major welcomes his men to the night of war
The streets of London and its citizens are startled as the moon is slowly hidden behind a massive object that passes between it and the city. The citizens watch on as the shadowed object presents itself as a couple of airships that bear the symbol of the Nazis. Within the airship, The Major is greeted by his men, and he promptly declares to his "unbeatable troops of a beaten army" that the "night of ten thousand fulfilled wishes has come," welcoming them to the "night of war." In response, each and every member of the Last Battalion cheers on. The Professor would then order them to consult their guidebook, Operation Sea Lion 2, and to direct their attention to page 3.
Embarrassingly, Schrödinger hesitantly admits that he lost his handbook. After being chastised by The Professor, Schrödinger is told to seek The Captain by The Professor. The Major details that their main objective is Hellsing and to overthrow Alucard. He then orders Zorin Blitz to head straight to the Hellsing Headquarters located on the city outskirts, gifting her the second zeppelin and a small set of detachment troops to make the squad a vanguard. However, she is warned to avoid aggression until the arrival of the main forces. When Zorin undermines Hellsing without the presence of Alucard, The Major informs her to not underestimate Integra Hellsing, the last descendant of the mightiest vampire-hunting family in history, and vampire Seras Victoria, one whose existence is described as a "marvel," promising Zorin that they would be much fun; he states that the two are inexperienced but decides them to be valued as arch enemies like Alucard, telling her once more to not attack until his arrival.
The Major tells his men to burn any landmark as they please
With passion, The Major sits and instructs his men to burst the dam on the muddy stream of war; their first objective is the simple annihilation of London, landmarks, historic museums, and any building of any significance are to be blown up and burned down like nothing. He does not care about his troops destroying whatever it is that catches their eyes and eating whoever catches their eyes, proposing they eat and drink freely, as the eight million strong morsels of an imperial capital have been reduced to their dinner tonight.
The city of London is brought into ruins by the multitude of V1 rockets launched
With arms open in a welcoming gesture, The Major invites his troops to die and bring death—a toast, as the feast has begun from this time onward. As his men cheer on "prost," The Major holds up a glass of wine before dropping it, letting it shatter as a signal fire for the war. V1s and V2s units from the side of the airship are launched, destroying each and every infrastructure and causing many casualties. The Great Attack continues forward while the screams of the civilians are heard. The Major smiles and tells his men to prepare for dropping.
