Walter ensnares Luke with his Monofilament Wires

Emerging from the remains of Baskerville, Luke Valentine stands confused with his surroundings, sweating in trepidation as The Major and The Professor watch amused, realizing the return of one of the Valentine Brothers. The Professor explains, when Baskerville died, the control ratio changed and Luke manifested. Abruptly, Luke's body becomes ensnared and punctured by Monofilament Wires coursing through his skin, causing him to recoil in pain; in his own struggle, Walter C. Dornez tells Luke that if he "fancies" himself as a Nazi soldier, then he will fight for him. Walter, however, realizes the condition of his rapidly deteriorating body, which he should have been aware of when he performed his treachery and became this way.

Alucard kneels

Alucard kneels

Amidst the clearing smoke and the falling rubble, Alucard kneels, regenerating his wounds while observing Walter with glee. Subsequently, Walter hurls forward the combination of Luke Valentine attached to Baskerville over Alucard, who narrowly dodges a bite, sacrificing his left arm in the process, all with hilarity over the sight of Luke, who he persistently degrades as being an "undigested washout, turning into shit," complimenting Walter for his newfound marionette sarcastically. Eventually, Walter falls to the floor, coughing blood, struggling to maintain control, and stating that he cannot die before defeating Alucard.

"Even if the interest is so exorbitant, his body is destroyed once day breaks and the cock crows, he bet everything over fifty years for a game against Alucard."

The Professor notes the recklessness of the surgery, provoking The Major to proclaim everything Millennium gave for Walter in return for everything he had, comparing the situation as if Walter borrowed stakes from their yakuza-like group. However, he alludes to the similarity of Walter's bet for a game against Alucard—a bet with everything on a one-night game—with Millennium's own bet. He exclaims, "Fate shuffled the cards for one table!! Just one hand!! Your opponent's a Joker! Now what are you, Walter C. Dornez?!"

Walter then continues with his attack on Alucard, utilizing the manipulated corpse of Baskerville in conjunction with Luke. Alucard adeptly avoids another reckless attack, but he is repeatedly shot in the back by Luke, whose pistol is forced to repel from his sleeve by Walter. Cocking the .454 Casull, Alucard stands impressed with Luke's capabilities, turning back while expressing his regret over wasting Luke's abilities by feeding him to a dog prior to being mauled and hoisted by a bite from Baskerville. He regains steady control with a smile, planting the .454 Casull on Luke's chin and declaring, "Checkmate," firing the shot that causes the marionette to go limp in a sudden crash. Haze created by the ferocious altercation clears, Walter retracting his Monofilament Wires, proclaiming that he has Alucard cornered despite losing his puppet.
