Summary
After the aftermath of the chaotic Hotel Rio event, The Major sits within his airship and watches the news with glee at the death and murder that has transpired, but The Professor is concerned about Tubalcain Alhambra's death, to which The Major commends The Professor as a formidable genius for the "almost" successful mission regarding Alucard. Afterwards, he commands the airship to return back to the Panther's Den. Meanwhile, Integra Hellsing received orders from Her Majesty herself and has ordered Alucard to return. Alexander Anderson, after a brief physical altercation, begrudgingly offers Alucard safe transport back to England.
Synopsis
The press reports that 107 are dead and 6+ were wounded in the incident regarding the chaotic incident that unraveled in Hotel Rio, stating that a CNNN News helicopter was utilized in the "terrorists (i.e., Alucard, Seras, and Vernedead)" escape, but the pilot mysteriously has no recollection of the event, and the authorities are investigating to determine whether or not the perpetrators manipulated his memory via a drug. The Major then turns off the television, laughing as he comments that Tubalcain was nothing but a "dust rag." He said that he knew Alucard would be so powerful but notes that Alucard is more powerful than he (The Major) could ever imagine. Biting his fingers until blood comes out in fear and in shambles, The Professor tries to apologize for Tubalcain's failure, but The Major cuts him off and states that the project was close to being a "major success," reporting that they have made definite gains regarding Alucard (in which The Major then describes him as the "intermediary of the wonderful existence").
He names the process of building, uniforming, training, organizing, and utilizing "Midians" as what they had labored towards for a little over half a century, but they—the Last Battalion—can finally command "Midians" themselves, telling The Professor that the end of the century would also mean the end of the world while praising him for being a "formidable genius," as afterwards, The Professor gives his gratitude. He then orders their return to their home base (which The Major described as "Beloved Home") back to Jaburo: The Panther's Den, while joking about the old opera house men being angered and worried sick. He then proclaims that all those who stand in the way of his conquest will die.
Elsewhere, in the Hellsing Headquarters, Integra Hellsing calls Alucard to return straight away, while Alucard comments that the Round Table Council has "turned up the heat," to which Integra responds that it was a direct order from Her Majesty herself. When Alucard laughs, Integra shouts at him to return immediately and to not make The Queen wait; Integra then expresses that she does not have the desire to be outdone by Iscariot. However, Alucard then proceeds to tease Integra, asking her if the joy of war set her abuzz and if she was able to see the "dark red flames blazing," causing Integra to snap and fluster as she tells him to hurry back and slams the phone. Alucard laughs as he remarks that humans are "wonderfully complex." It is then that Seras Victoria and Pip Vernedead return, informing Alucard that there are no ships that will take off anytime soon, and thus no way for them to get out of the country. Alucard, however, tells them that they are stealing an airplane and that they should get ready.
Vernedead and Seras stare awkwardly and speechless before Vernedead freaks out, saying that they are dead this time and how he does not want to die. However, Alucard and Seras then notice a presence outside, and when Seras takes a look over the keyhole, she notices Alexander Anderson, who proceeds to kick the door open as Seras rushes to get out of the way and fails to warn them, confusing Vernedead while Alucard looks gleefully. Alucard and Anderson then walk slowly towards each other to prepare for a confrontation; Seras watches in horror. They both clench their fists after a staredown and immediately strike at the same time, drawing blood and stunning one another. Alucard comments that Anderson cannot stand his temptations before they then strike each other again, which propels Alucard backwards as they once again bleed.
Anderson then draws his Holy Bayonets, prompting Alucard to draw his .454 Casull and Jackal while Vernedead draws his revolver. Meanwhile, Seras tries to sneak in an attack with her Harkonnen but is stopped when Anderson turns around to see her; expecting an attack, she is surprised to see him attach a paper to the wall with his bayonets. Anderson picks up his broken glasses, Vernedead is breathless, and Alucard smiles while Seras stands shocked. Anderson informs them that a Vatican airfield disguised as a crop duster is on standby and that the papers will allow them safe passage back to England, telling them to hurry as he could still control his urge to kill them.
