D②《Dī-ni》is the eighth chapter of Hellsing: Volume 4, and the overall twenty-sixth chapter of the Hellsing manga created by Kohta Hirano. It is the second part of D.
Summary
The HMS Eagle is invaded by Millennium vampires, an attack that was spearheaded by Lieutenant Rip Van Winkle under the orders of The Major. Meanwhile, in the Hellsing Headquarters, Seras Victoria continues her struggles to eat and drink blood, prompting Integra Hellsing's curiosity as Integra soon prepares for the HMS Eagle debacle while Seras stands by with the Wild Geese.
Synopsis
The helicopter steers closer to the HMS Eagle as Rip Van Winkle sings along to a German song, prompting the crew of the ship to debate whether or not to shoot the helicopter down, due to them ignoring their warning shots. The captain of the ship, however, states that he cannot let them shoot it down, confusing his crewmates. He then drops his hat and reveals his vampiric teeth before striking and killing the rest of his crewmates with his associates while Rip Van continues her singing. Outside, Rip's helicopter touches down on the landing pad. As she steps out, ready to take command, she announces the hunter's presence and that her "warhead will punish without distinction."
Back in the Hellsing Headquarters, Seras Victoria sits at a table covered in fine food. She attempts to eat it, neglecting the bag of blood on the table. She attempts to eat some of the soup, but her gag reflexes kick in and she nearly throws it back up. Integra walks in, questioning her if it is painful; she then asks Seras about her decisions in not drinking blood, having heard from Walter C. Dornez about her curious condition, reminding her that she is not human anymore. Integra then walks over, picks up a knife on the table, and cuts her finger to draw blood.
She then sticks it out at Seras and orders her to lick the blood off her finger to prevent her from getting an infection. Seras is shocked, but Integra doubles down on her order, leaving Seras with little choice. Seras begins to like it up with Integra, informing her that her blood is "100% virgin," and warns her not to accidentally bite her finger. Seras does as commanded, and Integra pulls her finger back, pleased. Seeing Seras at ease, Integra then walks out, commanding Seras to be on standby as she informs Seras of the situation within the HMS Eagle.
