D⑧ is the sixth chapter of Hellsing: Volume 5, and the overall thirty-third chapter of the Hellsing manga created by Kohta Hirano. It is the eighth part of D.
Summary
Integra Hellsing assures the marines within the headquarters of the British National Security Guidance Division that the chaotic situation present at the HMS Eagle, which has become an "inferno," means their win. Rip Van Winkle attempts to escape, still in the throes of bone-chilling terror. When pushed into a corner, she manages to gain enough gumption to shoot Alucard but fails to kill him. She is impaled on her own rifle as The Major's airship makes its way to their war without end.
Synopsis
The marines are thrown into a fit of mass panic once they notice that the relay of information that is surfacing regarding the situation over at the HMS Eagle is slow to report, with one of the men notifying them that the Eagle has become an "inferno," with the surrounding smoke generated by the flames making it hard for them to obtain information. A short silence in the room caused Walter C. Dornez to presume that the situation means the Hellsing Agency's win, which Integra Hellsing assures. However, this caused Shelby M. Penwood to question her and demand an explanation for what they had done to the ship. Integra explains that she embarked on an "orthodox siege war" with the SR-71 "Blackbird" acting as a battering ram, which swung and brought the castle walls down, and so her soldiers entered.
Rip Van gathers the determination to retaliate
Integra repeats their questions and then asks them for a hypothesis of a situation within a besieged castle in all times and places just before surrendering: "An absolutely one-sided massacre." On the Eagle, moments after the massacre of the Millennium soldiers that had happened by the hands of Alucard, a frightened Rip Van Winkle is barely capable of functioning and is skulking through the flames in an attempt to hide, maybe escape. She wipes her tears before hearing a sudden smash of her timer by Alucard's boot, who she notices from the smoke. He smiles and glares at her, asking her for her next move. Rip Van is speechless, looking at the gruesome corpses of her men, then she clutches her musket before gathering the courage, fixing her glasses, and raising her musket equipped with a "warhead that will punish all without distinction."
Alucard catches the Magic Bullet
Alucard is impressed, and then Rip Van fires her musket, which shoots through Alucard and makes him stumble backwards; the Magic Bullet changes course and returns, passing through him again, continuing the process over and over as Rip Van screams for him to fall into the oceans and perish. However, as the Magic Bullet ricochets for the final shot, Alucard bites onto the traveling bullet, catching Rip Van off guard. He utters a sentence that is unintelligible due to the bullet, causing Rip Van to be confused until he repeats "Now I have you" after spitting the bullet out.

He walks slowly with his arms out to Rip Van as she begins to cower and scream in fear. Taking notice, Alucard grabs her by the shoulder and punches her, sending her sprawling across the deck. She struggles to recover; he grips her, pulling her up into the air with her back on a wall. Slowly and painfully, he then begins to impale her through the chest with her own rifle while Rip Van would begin to choke on her own blood. Alucard's grip and pressure intensify, pouring out more and more blood from Rip Van, purposely missing her heart, which would end up killing her. He stares satisfyingly at her frightened and pained expression. Meanwhile, The Major's airship is passing through the skies on its way to London.
